A size chart is most useful when you know which product it belongs to and where it came from. A screenshot detached from its page can lose the series name, version or other details needed to use it correctly.
Keep the product name attached
Record the exact series and product code with the chart. Different products can use similar size labels, so a heading that simply says “snow socks” leaves room for a mismatch. Check that the item being ordered is the same one described by the compatibility information.

Prefer the current source
Reopen the manufacturer’s or authorised product information rather than relying only on an image saved several winters ago. If the current page and the packaging disagree, ask for clarification and retain both records. The newer-looking design is not automatically the technically correct answer.
Store a complete confirmation
For a future trip, save the source link, access date, full tyre code and confirmed product identity together. That creates a record someone else can repeat. It also makes a later wheel change easier to spot because the old confirmation still names the old combination.
- Source and date
- Exact series and product
- Complete tyre code
A current chart check is an information check, not a reason to replace equipment automatically. Use the correct source to establish whether your actual product and tyre combination remains confirmed.
