For a light commercial vehicle, a tyre-size match is only part of product selection. The exact snow-sock model must also be intended for the vehicle and use described in its documentation.
Identify the vehicle correctly
Record the vehicle version and relevant class or weight information from its documentation. Do not substitute an estimated load or a general word such as “van” when asking about product scope. Keep the fitted tyre code available as a separate specification.

Read the series documentation
Different series names can suggest different intended uses, but a marketing position is not a substitute for an explicit application limit. Ask which exact product and documentation support the proposed use. Avoid transferring a limit or approval from a competitor’s product.
Plan for working conditions
A work vehicle may be packed and used by more than one driver. Make sure the kit can be reached after loading and that the relevant instructions travel with it. Record who needs the fitting information before a winter route.
- Vehicle identity and relevant classification
- Actual tyre sizes
- Confirmed product scope
Choose from equipment that passes both the dimensional and application checks. A product that fits around a tyre should not automatically be treated as confirmed for the working vehicle carrying that tyre.
