A driver change should include any traction equipment being carried or used. Do not assume the next driver knows the product, its operating instructions or what happened earlier in the journey.
Explain the current state
State whether the snow socks are packed, fitted or have been removed after use. If they were used, pass on any condition concern and the care or inspection still needed. A kit being physically present does not establish that it is ready to use again.

Show the correct information
Point out the exact product directions, vehicle guidance and confirmed tyre record. If an operating limit or fitting question was clarified with the supplier, keep that answer in context with the original product identity. Do not pass on a bare number without its source.
Review the next section together
The next driver needs the conditions and route ahead, not just the story of the previous snowy stretch. Include surface transitions, current road information and practical equipment arrangements. A successful outward section does not confirm every section that follows.
- Equipment state
- Relevant directions
- Next-stage plan
A concise handover prevents the next driver from reconstructing the kit’s history while making travel decisions. Share what is known and make unresolved questions explicit before responsibility changes.
