After-use care is complete only when the snow socks have reached the condition required for storage and the next inspection. Putting wet equipment back into its outer box is not the same as finishing that process.
Follow the correct drying directions
Use the method stated for the exact product. Do not improvise a heat setting or copy a drying recommendation for another textile item. If the directions are unavailable or unclear, identify the series and ask for the matching care information.

Inspect when the item can be assessed
Check both socks and the areas identified by the instructions. Keep a note of visible changes or questions from the journey. Repacking should not conceal a concern that will be rediscovered only when another driver opens the kit beside a snowy road.
Restore an identifiable kit
Keep labels, instructions and any required accessories together. If you use replacement packaging, identify the series and size clearly. Store the current tyre-fit record with the equipment, especially when the household has more than one vehicle or wheel set.
- Correct care method
- Condition checked
- Complete identified kit
Treat repacking as the last step, not the first. A kit is easier to use responsibly when its condition and identity are clear before it goes back into storage.
