A clear tyre-size photograph can prevent a small transcription error from becoming a wrong product choice. The aim is to show the complete size sequence on the tyre that is actually fitted to the vehicle.
Make the code readable
Photograph in a safe stationary setting with enough light to distinguish every character. Avoid glare, blur and a crop that removes the first number or final wheel diameter. Check the image before walking away from the car; enlarging an unreadable image later does not recover a missing digit.

Provide context without unnecessary detail
One wider image can show the position of the marking, followed by a close-up for reading. Label front and rear photographs when the sizes differ. The supplier usually needs the tyre and relevant vehicle information, not a photograph containing unrelated personal documents.
Write the code alongside the image
Include your best readable transcription and the exact product series you are asking about. If a character is uncertain, say so. For example, do not silently turn an unclear aspect ratio into the size that appears most often in online searches.
- Complete code in focus
- Axle label when relevant
- Matching written enquiry
An enquiry is ready when another person can read the same code you can see on the car. Ask for confirmation of that exact size against the current product chart rather than a general recommendation from the photograph alone.
