At the end of winter, prepare the snow-sock kit for the next decision, not just for an empty space in the boot. Follow its own care directions and leave a clear record of what is being stored.
Complete care before packing
Use the cleaning and drying directions for the exact product. Keep temporary wet transport separate from seasonal storage. Do not substitute a general fabric-care rule or an unverified temperature when the correct instruction is missing.

Inspect and record questions
Check both socks as required. Record visible damage or an unresolved issue and keep it clearly marked, rather than storing the set as ready equipment by default. A photograph and a brief use note can help if advice is needed later.
Keep the kit identifiable
Retain the label, instructions and contents required for that version. Store the tyre-fit record with the product, including the source and date checked. If the vehicle is expected to change wheels before next winter, add that reminder to the kit record.
- Care completed
- Condition assessed
- Identity and instructions retained
Storage should make the next seasonal check easier. It does not guarantee that the same kit will remain suitable if the vehicle, tyres, product condition or relevant instructions change before another journey.
